I have been practicing criminal law and family law since 1993 and bankruptcy law since 1996. My bankruptcy practice started with representing creditors and by 1998 I had moved from the dark side to the light. I really enjoy discharging debt.
I am originally from the Washington, D.C area of Maryland. I later moved to Athens, Georgia where I earned degrees in Political Science (1990) and law (1993) from the University of Georgia.
In my criminal practice I have gotten major felons released from prison due to bad convictions. I have defended major felonies including murder, child molestation, rape, drug trafficking and identity fraud. I have handled relatively minor offenses like DUI, shoplifting and speeding. I love trying the major felonies, though, with the judges in Gwinnett, Barrow, Dekalb and Fulton counties.
In my bankruptcy practice my clients have discharged millions in debt, given up houses, kept their homes, gotten out of bad contracts and leases and obtained a chance at a fresh start. I have also defended clients against bankruptcy, mainly from former spouses trying to get out of their divorce obligations.
In my family law practice my clients have split up their marriage assets, gotten custody of their kids, gotten child support increased, lowered and recovered. You and me both have found it is especially hard to get money out the self-employed who hide their income but we will dig, we will find it.
Call me. Come up for air.

Since I love filing bankruptcies for people the Federal Government requires me to say that I am a Debt Relief Agency.
